We raise Naragansett turkeys.
The Naragansett is a "heritage breed" that is a cross between a European breed and the American Eastern Wild Turkey. The early settlers brought over the european turkey and they mated with the Eastern Wild Turkey of the US. This turkey breeds naturally and looks very similar to the Eastern wild turkey. We intend to perpetuate this breed.
We raise various chicken breeds for eggs - mostly brown egg-layers.
Many are Rocks - such as Bard Rocks, Black Rocks and White Rocks. We also have Rhode Island Reds and Black Austral-orps ( Australian Orpingtons).
Our young poultry are pastured in chicken tractors for protection. Once they are old enough, they are allowed to roam free on our farm with the rest of our poultry!
